Brief Introduction

Streptococcus salivarius subsp. thermophilus is a gram-positive bacterium, and a fermentative facultative anaerobe, of the viridans group.It tests negative for cytochrome, oxidase, and catalase, and positive for alpha-hemolytic activity.It is non-motile and does not form endospores. S. thermophilus is fimbriated.

Streptococcus salivarius subsp. thermophilus ST6 screened and originates from healthy infant, is manufactured in China and deposit under CGMCC No.10755 at the China General Microbiological Culture Collection Center. The strain Streptococcus salivarius subsp. thermophilus ST6 has been subjected to API 50CHL sugar fermentation pattern analysis and a 16 S rDNA sequence analysis. And it has resistance to acid and bile.
