Brief Introduction

Lactobacillus casei is typically the dominant species of nonstarter lactic acid bacteria (i.e. contaminant bacteria) present in ripening cheddar cheese. L. casei is also the dominant species in naturally fermented Sicilian green olives.

 

Lactobacillus casei LC18 screened and originates from healthy infant, is manufactured in China and deposited under CNCM-I No. 4458 at the Collection Nationale de Cultures de Microorganismes in France. The strain Lactobacillus casei LC18 has been subjected to API 50CHL sugar fermentation pattern analysis and a 16 S rDNA sequence analysis. And it has resistance to acid and bile.
